In their never ending battle to prevent you modding your own property the guys at N have released new drives with a glue type resin surrounding the chip (named epoxy resin) in order stop you using a solderess clip with your console. If you purchased your console after the end of October 2008 in the UK and the serial code starts with LEH224xxxx and above (est) chances are you will have this epoxy resin on your DVD drive.
Due to the solderless clips needing an exact fit it's extermely difficult to use them even after removing the resin completley, the most cost effective way is to "hardwire" the chip in.
O.k so what do I need to do?
1) Open up your console and remove your DVD drive, for instructions CLICK HERE
2) Add this product page to your cart (you can add a chip too if you don't already have one), checkout and pay through the usual process.
PLEASE NOTE : If you haven't already purchased a chip we recommend the WiiKey Version 2, click here to view the product
3) Download and fill in the buyer order form
